It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Fischer of Hartington, Nebraska, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Raymond and Gertrude Lilly Murkle (Dempsey); her granddaughter Rebecca Fischer; and her sister-in-law Sharon Murkle. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Raymond Fischer of Hartington; her children, Jerry Fischer (Jolene) of Hartington, Scott Fischer (Lisa) of Hartington, Troy Fischer (Teresa) of Hartington and Corey Fischer (Ann) of Hartington; and her siblings, Larry Murkle of Coleridge and Darlene Brockman of Carroll. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (203 W Franklin St, Hartington, NE 68739). A prayer was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
