With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gretchen Suzanne Troester of Hampton, Nebraska, who passed away on November 28, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence C. McCray and Annie McCray (Mercer); her husband Kenneth Willard Troester; and her sons, Dick Troester and Philip Troester.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Troester (Deb) of Lincoln, Chris Troester (Jan) of Lee's Summit, MO, Matt Troester (Diane) of Mokena, Illinois and Anne Daly (Dan) of Aurora; her daughters-in-law, Linda Troester of Hampton and Cindy Troester of Basehor, KS; her grandchildren, Alyssa Troester, Erika Mitts (Austin), Lauren Jost (Josh), Neal Troester, Amy Troester, Blake Troester (Karisa), Jackie Troester, Ryan Troester, Blair Moore (Clinton), Aaron Troester (Jessi), Ann Hohnstadt (Steve), Rachel Schuster (Randy), Nathan Troester (Paige), Mitchell Troester (Lauren Kraft), Ian Troester, Amber Olsen (Matt), Sara Myers (Matt), Kara Ronnau (Nathan) and Michael Fagan (Katie); her stepgranddaughters, April Phillip (Jerrod) and Amanda Medinger (Ryan); her sisters-in-law, Norma Troester and Beverly Troester; and her caregiver Debbie Williams. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren.
