He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Werthmann and Bobbe Werthmann; and his sister Ann Fox Vermillion. He is survived by: his sons, Mark, Steve, John and Ralph; and his grandchildren, Liam, Amelia, Ryan, Isaac, Tyler, Daphne and Zachary.

He died from complications from Alzheimer's disease but he never forgot his family.
