She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Cate and Rebecca Cate (Yenter); her sister Kathy Freeman; her brother-in-law Billy Wayne Freeman; her parents-in-law, Lyle Gottsch and Alice Gottsch; and her brother-in-law Jim Stern.
She is survived by: her husband Dick; her daughter Jennifer; her grandchildren, James Engberg (Lauren) of Springfield, NE, Alexis Engberg of Lubbock, TX, Ella, Emory and Bowen Porter; her great grandchildren, Sawyer and Isla Engberg; her brother Richard Cate; and her siblings-in-law, Gary Gottsch (Karen) and Marcy Stern. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roeder Mortuary - Gretna Chapel (11710 Standing Stone Dr, Gretna, NE 68028). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
