It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Carl Dowell (Gretna, Nebraska), born in Brookfield, Missouri, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Regina Dowell and Carl Dowell; his brother Teddy Dowell; his son Jason Dowell; his in-laws, Irene and Richard Johnson; and his brother-in-law Marvin Allen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda Simoneau (Travis) of Gretna and Tammy Dowell of La Vista, Nebraska; his siblings, Charles Dowell (Debbie) of Missouri and Sue Allen of Missouri; his grandchildren, Triston Kinnison (Morgan Sherman), Mya Simoneau, Hayley Dowell (Dylan Coop), Hope Dowell (Jacob Lundy) and Dylan Akins; and his great grandchild Wrenley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the family for contributions to the Gretna American Legion and Gretna Fire Department.
