He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Colleen Eddy (Russ) of Gretna, NE, Jake (Ashley) of Gretna, NE, Chelsea Self (George Tanguy) of Tracy, MN and Zach (Amanda) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Parker, Nora Eddy, Jett, Ryker, Everly Self and Hadley Self; and his brother Bob Self (Kathryn).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Roeder Mortuary (11710 Standing Stone Dr, Gretna, NE 68028). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Journey Church (20020 Hampton Dr, Gretna, NE 68028).
