With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L. Ruff of Gretna, Nebraska, who passed away on December 4, 2024 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Susan (Sue); and his mother Mary Ruff. He is survived by: his brothers, Henry Jr. (Tina), Randy (Lisa) and Ryan (Michele); his parents-in-law, Virgil and Pat Harms; and his father Henry Ruff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Roeder Mortuary (11710 Standing Stone Dr, Gretna, NE 68028). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at the Gretna American Legion 11690's 216th (11690 S 216th St, Gretna, NE 68028).
