He is survived by: his wife Medea Eckel; his son Ryan Eckel; his siblings, Kate Reynolds Eckel, David Eckel and Nancy Getscher; his brother-in-law Jason Reynolds; his nephew C. J. Getscher; and his niece Sarah Getscher. He is also survived by his family and friends.
