He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hartwig and Ethel Hartwig (Olson); and his brother Ronald Hartwig. He is survived by: his wife Rose Hartwig; his children, Eric Hartwig, Alison (Stuart Wilson) and Andrea Hartwig (Jeremy Richmond); his grandson Logan Wilson; his brother Allen Hartwig (Ruth); and his sister-in-law Delores Hartwig. He is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

He has finally found peace after Alzheimer's Disease.
