It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Bernice Speth of Gretna, Nebraska, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Darlene Bernice has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Edward Vraspir and Emma Kloty Vraspir (Otoupal); her siblings, Quentin Vraspir and Lorraine Sima; and her husband Richard Speth.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Horton (Todd) of Elkhorn, NE, Doug Speth (T. J.) of Papillion, NE, Roger Speth (Char) of Vergennes, IL and Steve Speth (Shae) of Springfield, NE. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (1025 Avenue D, Plattsmouth, NE 68048). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
