He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Schlund and Hazel I. Schlund (Wolbing); his wife Christie Schlund; his son Brian Schlund (Ginny); his siblings, Edda Jean Schlund, David C. Schlund, Gail M. Trobough and Joan E. Cronn; and his niece Jennifer Cronn.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Schlund of Tooele, UT and Derek Schlund of Kearney; his grandchildren, McKenzie, Katelyn and Dusty; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Waylon, Evelyn, Lila, Hudson and Emily; and his sisters, Lorrayne Johnson (Dave) of Cairo and Beth Kiner (Steve) of Aurora. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
