With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Donald Burson of Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on March 2, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Burson and Eliza Burson (Finley). He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Killingsworth (Richard), Tonya Shriner (Chad) and Trisha Manolidis (Braden); his grandchildren, Daniel Shriner (Allison), Tyler Shriner (Blair), Cooper, Makenna Manolidis, Junior, Kingston, Jasani, Finley, Dawson and Jaxon Killingsworth; and his great grandchildren, Avery, Boone and Huntley Shriner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church North Road.
