He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Shelton and Shirley Shelton (Howland); his parents-in-law, David and Lorna Helzer; his brothers, Scott and Stuart; and his grandson Max Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Helzer; his daughters, Stephanie Nelson (Erick) of Grand Island, Stacie Williams (Philip) of Gretna and Samantha Burgess (George) of Cairo; his grandchildren, Easton, Alec Enevoldsen, Brixton Nelson, Oliver, Zoey, Elliott Williams and George Burgess IV; and his sisters, Shaunna Shelton and Shari Stephens. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
