We bid farewell to Russel H. Lemburg of Grand Island, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 16, 2024 at the age of 96. Russel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Lemburg and Alma Lemburg (Ruthstrom); and his siblings, Albert Lemburg (Mayme), Henry Lemburg (Mollie), Charley Lemburg (Phyllis), Mabel Jorgensen (Wayne), Bessie Dobry (John), Ada Ashby (Dennis), Roger Lemburg (Yvonne), Roland Lemburg (Joan) and Doris Obermiller (Don).
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Keldsen; his children, Vickie Lemburg of Cairo and Timothy Lemburg (Peggy) of Dannebrog; and his grandchildren, Adam Dibbern (Tina) of Grand Island, Matthew Dibbern (Liz) of Lincoln, Daniel Dibbern of Cairo, Samuel Dibbern of Cairo, Tyler Lemburg (Abby) of Lincoln and Andrea Floth (Josh) of Grand Island. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church in Cairo or Heartland Lutheran High School in Grand Island.
