He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Christian and Ida Priess (Johnson); his parents-in-law, Raymond and Viola Knuth; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Hinkle and Earl Knuth.
He is survived by: his wife Leona D. Priess (Knuth); his sons, Mark R. Priess (Shawn) of Lincoln, NE and Brian L. Priess (Judy) of Grand Island; his grandchildren, Nathan K. Priess (Katie), Addison Q. Priess, Macy M. Priess, Katherine L. Priess and Elizabeth A. Priess; his sisters, Jean Hinkle of Palmer, NE and Alice Janssen (Bob) of Glenvil, NE; his sister-in-law Delyce Knuth of Grand Island; his niece Judy Hansen; and his nephews, John Hinkle (Bonnie), Chad Knuth, Jeremy Knuth (Carrie) and Nathan Knuth (Jaci). He is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
