With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis Joanne (Brink) Necas (Grand Island, Nebraska), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Phyllis Joanne left this world on February 18, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Brink and Bessie Brink (Bacon); her husband Andy Necas; her siblings, Merlin Brink (Norita), Kenneth Brink (Thelma), Verle Brink and Carrie Erickson (Elwin); and her son-in-law Riley Penny.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Necas (Donna) of Lincoln, NE, Sandy Penny of Gretna and Brenda Larson (Kevin) of West Point, NE.; and her grandchildren, Josh Necas, Aaron Necas, Sophia Hunt (Jordon), Andy Curry (Claire), Adam Curry (Miesha), Micalah Kimsey (Phillip), Tyler Magee, Cory Larson (Kris), Chelsey Haas (Jason) and Taylor Larson (Sabrina). She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S Locust St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. Phyllis had a great sense of humor; during covid – we snuck her out several times, and when we visited, she would lower a basket from her 2nd floor balcony which we filled with necessities and goodies, until we got caught.
