He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Meier and Irene Meier (Legler); his former wife Bobbie Meier; his granddaughter Kristen; and his stepson Monty.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Brian (Nancy) of Omaha and Pam Stingley (Kirk) of Lone Tree, CO; his grandchildren, Paige Stingley, Cori, Lucas Sullivan, Adam Stingley and Abbey Stingley; his great grandchildren, Daron and Tammy Mamot; and his grandchildren, Susie, Tony Guyette, Dayla and Jon Sack. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (212 W 12th St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the family for later designation.
