He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sloan and Mildred Sloan (Armstrong); his wife Janice Deuel; his children, Lennie Sloan and Dennis Sloan; his granddaughter Amanda Gray; his siblings, Jim Sloan, Audrey Nitz (Elwin) and Tom Sloan; and his siblings-in-law, Don Munson, Sue Sloan, Sharon Sloan and Pat Sloan.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Sloan of Grand Island, NE, Donald Sloan (Belinda) of Patterson, LA, David Sloan and Deborah Gray (Brian) of Gillette, WY; his siblings, Ray Sloan of Vermillion, SD, Joyce Munson of Norfolk, NE, Dick Sloan of Anchorage, AK and Gene Sloan; his sister-in-law Judy Tank (Gary) of Grand Island; and his daughter-in-law Noaoma Sloan of Glendale, AZ.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
