It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Stuart DeJonge of Grand Island, Nebraska, born in Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Eiven DeJonge; his son Stuart DeJonge; his grandparents, Ommo, Jacobena DeJonge, Louis and Leah Koch; his brother Timothy DeJonge; and his sisters-in-law, Carla Dahl and Candice Albers.
He is survived by: his wife Karen DeJonge (Dahl); his children, Kenneth DeJonge, Karie DeJonge and Kelly DeJonge (Sherri); his mother Ramona Sponhower (Koch); his siblings, Robert DeJonge (Joann), Janie Hansen (Paul), Nancy Classen (Ted) and Laura Marsh (Eric); his siblings-in-law, Douglas Dahl, Michael Albers and Sally Augustine; his grandchildren, Preston Lauterbach, Sr. (Elizabeth), Erik DeJonge, Payton Falewitch (Matthew), Lydia DeJonge, Megan DeJonge, Parker Lauterbach, Pierson Lauterbach and Madison DeJonge; and his great grandchildren, Beau Lauterbach, Margo Falewitch, Preston Lauterbach, Jr. and Remi Falewitch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
