He was predeceased by: his parents, Galdino Cruz and Remedios Cruz (Ochoa). He is survived by: his wife Thelma Cruz; his children, Jessie Lopez (Brandi), Fernando Cruz (Sierra), Monica Cruz (Abel Munoz), Veronica Cruz (Enrique Loya), Ruben Cruz, Angie Segura (Angel) and Maria Tapia (John); and his siblings, Irving, Guanajuato Mexico, Jesse, Rogelio, Rendrigo, Florencio, Juan, Magdalena, Juana, Christina, Sarah, Margo and Remedios. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S Locust St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Cathedral (112 S Cedar St, Grand Island, NE 68801).
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
