With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe H. Obermeier of Grand Island, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Obermeier and Mabel Obermeier (Bigger); his wife Dixie Ingrum; and his siblings, Doris Lange (Virgil), Julia Elaine Dukesherer (Melvin) and Donald Obermeier (Marcella).
He is survived by: his children, Anita Harmon (Mike) of Trumbull, Bill Obermeier (Teresa) of Wichita, KS and Tami Obermeier (Doug Otte) of St. Paul, NE; and his grandchildren, Justin Harmon (Mikenzie), Stephanie Anderson (Bryce), Jacob Harmon (Kerri), Gabe Harmon (Felicia), Clay Harmon (Bethany), C. J. Happold and Breanne Wilton. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Messiah Lutheran Church or the Grand Island Veterans Cemetery.
