She was predeceased by: her parents, William George and Faye Vogel (Moore); her husband Norm of Mary's Cathedral; her daughter-in-law Mia Weakland; her granddaughter Katie Weakland; her sister Patricia; her brother-in-law Bill Twehous; her brother Joe Vogel; and her brother-in-law George Rief.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Weakland (Kaye) of Grand Island, Jerry Weakland of Aurora, Julie Brooke (Steve) of Benedict, NE, John Weakland (Janet) of Winterset, IA and Jennifer Evans (Butch) of Grand Island; her grandchildren, Rachel Weakland, Haley Klein (Nathan), Emily Sander (Trevor), Tyler Weakland (Carolyn), Kelby Weakland, Kelsey Dibbern (Donnie), Heather Klemsz (Kolby), Kyle Weakland (Samantha), Collin Weakland, Chase Evans (Mikayla), Jacob Evans, Jessica Billington (Kaden) and Alyssa Evans; her great grandchildren, Elsie, Quinn, Henry and Dawson; her siblings, Ralph Vogel (Jean) of St. Libory, Wilma Rief of Grand Island and Jean Hill of Bellevue; and her sister-in-law Donna Vogel of Red Cloud. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S Locust St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Church (4110 Cannon Rd, Grand Island, NE 68803).
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
