He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mathews and Pauline Mathews (Wilson); his former wife Joanne Priethauer; his son Todd Reimers; and his siblings, Robert Mathews and Lois Hartz.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Poppert; his children, Tracie Reimers, Tim Reimers, Teena Rosenquist (Allen), Toby Reimers (John Fuller) and Tabatha Reimers; and his sister Jayme Marcus. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, greats and great-great grandchildren.
