He was predeceased by: his parents, John Godeker and Dorothy Godeker; and his siblings, John Godeker, Marjorie Rothemeyer and Peggy Land.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Godeker II (Krista) of Grand Island and Kathy Fuss of Peoria, AZ. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Odean Colonial Chapel (302 S Sycamore St, North Platte, NE 69101). The military honors will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 S Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
Memorials are to the Sutherland American Legion.
