He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hassett and Beulah Hassett (Kaiser); his siblings, Jim, Paul, Jack Hassett, Valjean Copeland, Geraldine Nunnenkamp and Susan Perkins; and his foster father Clarence Waddington.
He is survived by: his wife DeAnn Chase; his children, Nathan Hassett, Seth Hassett (Jenna) and Jen Hughes (Mike); his grandchildren, Silas, Olivia Hassett, Raelynn, Cason Furby, Emma, Benson and Delaney Hughes; his foster mother Bette Warn; and his foster siblings, Lori Dunn (Kerry) and Mark Waddington.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the All Faiths Funeral Home (2929 S Locust St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evangelical Free Church (2609 S Blaine St, Grand Island, NE 68801).
Memorials are suggested to St. Judes Childrens' Hospital.
