He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Sawyer and Mary Sawyer (Vore); his son James Allen Sawyer; and his siblings, Kenneth Sawyer, Linda Shoemaker and Glenn Sawyer.
He is survived by: his wife Della; his children, Mary Adams (Mike), Duane Sawyer (Kate), Jane Anania (Todd), Sheryl VanderVorst (Greg) and Becky Reynolds (Jim); and his sister Carol Squier (Gary). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
