He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Sabatka and Frances Sabatka (Horinek); and his wife Anita Arnold. He is survived by: his siblings, Darrell Sabatka (Cathy) of Colorado, Gilbert Sabatka of Manhattan, Kansas and Geraldine Downing of Kearney; his goddaughter Anna Hanquist; his pet Junior; and his friend Trish. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Ed's name at a later date.
