He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rohweder and Ella Rohweder (Meyer); his parents-in-law, Fred and Emma Poehler; his grandson Jacob Rohweder; his brothers, George Rohweder (Betty), Robert, Dale and Alan; and his sister-in-law Linda Poehler.
He is survived by: his wife Elvera Poehler; his sons, Kenneth Rohweder of Asheville, NC and Randall Rohweder (Marsha) of Vail, AZ; his grandchildren, Sarah Herning (Jonathan) and Ashley Rohweder (Luis Briseno); his great grandchildren, Damon, Ariana and Rosalie Dominguez; his brothers, Gary Rohweder (Marcia) of Juneau, AK and David Rohweder (Arlene) of Golden, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Rohweder, Betty Rohweder, Patricia Rohweder and Ray Poehler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (212 W 12th St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (15143 W White Cloud Rd, Cairo, NE 68824).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Heartland High School.
