Though Betty Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betty Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Safarik and Isabelle Safarik (Chalupsky); her sister Shirley; and her brothers-in-law, John Jarzynka and Jim Malone.
She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Spilger; her son Jarrod Spilger (Krystal) of Grand Island; and her siblings, Noreen Malone of Lincoln and Rick Safarik (Elaine) of Farwell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berean Bible Church (4116 W Capital Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
