He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Hostler and Ruth Hostler (Cole); and his daughter-in-law Elaine Hostler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Schroeder; and his sons, Steven Hostler of Alda, NE, Jerry Hostler (Marla) of Grand Island, NE and David Hostler (Cindie) of Central City, NE. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
