We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Gary Lacey (Gothenburg, Nebraska), born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lacey and Chelsa Hiatt Lacey; and his sister Beverly Calvert. He is survived by: his children, David Lacey (Heather James) of Portland, OR and Anne Lacey (Nate Hofer) of Overland Park, KS; his stepchildren, Matthew Kolbeck (Sarah) of New Buffalo, MI and Anna (Matt Dalrymple) of Gothenburg, NE; and his grandchildren, Audrey Lacey, Graham Hofer, Reid Hofer, Mya Kolbeck, Jeffery Dalrymple and Lucas Dalrymple. He is also survived by his six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Child Advocacy Center, 5025 Garland St, Lincoln, NE 68504.

“Gary was a truly passionate and dedicated person. I have seen him in action a few times and what a wonderful attorney. When i got hired at lancaster county, he was county attorney. My office interacted a lot with the ca's office and gary was always quick with a joke, always smiled and was so dedicated to his staff. He stood behind each one of them every time. So sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. Sue eckley”
