She was predeceased by: her parents, William Slack and Geraldine Slack; her parents-in-law, William and Erma Hicken; her siblings-in-law, Betty Slack, Melvin Hicken and Juleen Farnstrom; and her niece Dena Hilyard.

She is survived by: her son Christopher; her husband Garry Hicken of Gothenburg, NE; her children, Jennifer Ballmer (Alan) of Gothenburg, NE, Chris Hicken of Gothenburg, NE and Tom Hicken of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren, Alisha Ballmer of Lincoln, NE, Alex Ballmer of Gothenburg, NE, Britney Hicken of Moravia, IA and Cade Hicken of Lincoln, NE; her siblings, Billy Slack of Brady, NE, Carol Slack of Gothenburg, NE and Beverly Troxel (Mike) of Sutherland, NE; and her sisters-in-law, Karan Smith (Jim) of Gothenburg, NE and Kristy Henn (Dennis) of Lincoln, NE. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
