He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Johnson and Ethel Johnson (Rogers); his brothers, Roger (Sonia), Jerry (Georgia) and Lyle; and his brothers-in-law, Lee Vandrew and Gerald Cumpston.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Kuhlman; his sons, David (John) of Renton, WA and Mike Johnson (Marci) of Gothenburg; his stepdaughter Jodi Aden Miller (Doug) of Olathe, KS; and his siblings, Norman (Victoria) of Carmichael, CA, Vernice Vandrew of Allardt, TN and Lulu Goddard (Robert) of Pleasanton, NE. He is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel (620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE 69138). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (2002 27th St, Gothenburg, NE 69138). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gothenburg Cemetery (1752 27th St, Gothenburg, NE 69138).
