With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bertha Daharsh of Gothenburg, Nebraska, born in North Platte, Nebraska, who passed away on June 29, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Kariger and Gladys E. Kariger (Damon Daharsh); her children, Virginia Garrelts (Gin), Kathleen Hood and Alan Dale Hood; her siblings, Theo Mae Whitmire, Kathryn Smith, George Kariger and Harvey Kariger; and her son-in-law James Garrelts.
She is survived by: her son Roger Hood (Paula) of Gothenburg, NE; and her grandchildren, Kerri Kraft (Steve) of Broomfield, CO, Greg Hood (Michelle) of Lincoln, NE, Dirk Hood (Melissa) of Roca, NE, Beth Burton (Don) of Omaha, NE, James Garrelts, Mark Garrelts (Rhonda) and Mindy Keller (Richard). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many friends.
