It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arthur Houchin of Gothenburg, Nebraska, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on July 15, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Houchin and Vera V. Houchin; his grandsons, James Michael Houchin, Christopher Lee Metzger and Shawn Lynn Crites; his daughter-in-law Pamela Mary Houchin; and his siblings, Raymond Houchin, Daniel Houchin, Vera Kwiatkowski, Joan Baldwin and Artith Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Houchin (Kwiatkowski) of Gothenburg; his children, William Joseph Houchin (Pam) of Riverdale, Rita Ann Fiese (Rick) of Gothenburg, Michael Allen Houchin of Gothenburg and Cynthia Marie Crites (Roy) of Arcadia; and his sister Charlene Holbein (Steve) of Lexington. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
