He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schwarting and Mary Schwarting; and his siblings, Marvin, Lowell, Orville Schwarting, Darlene Rust and Lovletta Kehn.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Meadow Finch; his wife Elouise; his sister Alice Thurlow; and his children, Nora Fuchs (Steve), Karen Farmer (Bob), Shirley Evanrud (Mark), Curtis Schwarting (Heidi), Marty Schwarting (Connie) and Randy Schwarting (Val). He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.
