He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Burleigh and Louis Burleigh; and his siblings, Rowena Burleigh, Virginia Jacobson (Myron), Eileen Beutler (Terry) and Darwin Burleigh (Elaine).
He is survived by: his son Steven; his wife Barbara; his children, Debra Kolman (Larry), Rick Burleigh (Joanie) and Steve Burleigh (Mary); his grandchildren, Dustin Burleigh, Jonathan, Amanda, Ryan Kolman, Jessica Metzger (Kaleb), Nicole Lanum (Justin) and Allison Madsen (Mac); his great grandchildren, Kylie and Adlee Metzger; and his sister Eleanor Strasburger (Dean). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as all of his nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Gordon Rescue Unit or for C.A.R.E. and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home PO Box 366, Gordon, NE 69343.
