She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Olin Reed and Cecil Glee Heywood Reed; her brother Gordon; her grandfather Heywood; her husband Clifford H. Hix; her sons, Dwight (Kari) of Black Hawk, S. D. and Richard (Elizabeth) of Albuquerque, N. M.; and her siblings, Fay Reed, Richard Reed, Kenneth Hardin and Rebecca Yardley. She was also cherished by five grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be made to the Grace Lutheran Church or Gordon Countryside Care.
