Doris left this world on February 26, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon M. Ivarson and Iola V. Ivarson (Berger); her siblings, Helen Anabel Fosbury and Donald G. Ivarson; and her sister-in-law Ariel Ivarson.
She is survived by: her husband Church; her stepchildren, Deborah Nowell-Laursen (Brian) of Killeen, TX, Kathryn Gaertig-Kuhn (late Roger) of Columbus, OH, Brent Kuhn (Jeanne) of Longmont, CO, Brian Kuhn (Sondra) of Hemingford, NE. and Martin Kuhn (Jane) of Hemingford, NE.; her niece Lynne Welch (Gordon) of El Paso, TX; and her nephew Jay Fosbury (Rose) of Fredericksburg, TX. She is also survived by cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Alliance (515 Emerson Ave, Alliance, NE 69301). She was a lifetime member of Friends of the Library, Alliance Military Museum, RSVP, and the BBGH Auxiliary.
She set up its accounting system, served on the CAC Board, was its treasurer, was an enthusiastic Diplomat, and a very active member on the Carnegie Arts Center Foundation board.
