He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Bruce and Ruth Bruce; his wife Neva; his siblings, Bob, Morey, Betty, Beverly and Arthur; and his granddaughter Wendy Tiensvold.

He is survived by: his children, Paula Lube (Randy), Brenda Potter, Jeanette Hasse (Dave), Kay Kruger (Mark) and Steve Bruce; his brother Bill Bruce (Anita); his grandchildren, Eva Coppinger, Clay Lube, Tim Tiensvold, Dennis Tiensvold, Grant Potter, Alyssa Delzell, Katelyn Potter, Noah Hasse, Peyton Hasse, Michael Kruger, Erin Sandoz, Paul Kruger, Emma Wolf and Logan Bruce; his great grandchildren, Neva, Margot, Holden and Henry Tiensvold; and his grandchildren, Sophia Delzell, Elsie, Layla Kruger, Hallie, Sawyer Sandoz and Berkley Wolf.

A memorial has been established for Grace Lutheran Church of Gordon.
