He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Andersen and Lola Andersen (Sheen); his children, Wayne Andersen and Linda Burton (Darry); his son-in-law Steven Moore, Sr.; and his siblings, Jim Andersen and Betty Judd (Shirley Follette).

He is survived by: his wife Violet Andersen of Gibbon; his daughters, Kathy Renshaw (Bill) of Kearney and Tammy Moore of Lincoln; his daughter-in-law Betty Andersen of Elkhorn; his brothers, Don Andersen of Texas and Larry Andersen (Sue) of Gibbon; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Andersen of Kearney and Dean Follette of Kearney. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Gibbon Volunteer Fire Department.
