It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlin Jeffrey Wear of Gibbon, Nebraska, born in Gothenburg, Nebraska, who passed away on April 10, 2021, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey; his father Estel Wear, Sr.; his mother-in-law Renee Botts; and his cousin Kathy Larsen. He is survived by: his wife Marlena Barnes of Gibbon; his grandchildren, Jayden, Tanner (LexiAnn Barnes), Landon Coakley, Elijah, Jaxson, Harper Barnes and Zachary Barnes (Mason Bales); his children, Hannah Green (Tyler) of Gothenburg, Josh Barnes (Rawnie) of Mullen, Nikki Coakley (Shea) of Kearney, Trevor Barnes of Lawton and Brandon Barnes (Jill Hoffmaster) of Lexington; his mother Sharon Friesenborg (Griffis) of Gothenburg; and his siblings, Milton Wear (Sheila) of Gothenburg, Mike Wear of Gothenburg, Estel Wear Jr. of Hastings and Kimberly Wear of Hastings. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
