He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Pedersen and Lila Pedersen (Petersen); his daughter Laura; his parents-in-law, Wallace and Louise Bernstrauch; and his siblings-in-law, Theresa Bernstrauch and Mike Bernstrauch.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Pedersen of Gibbon; his children, Stephanie Larsen (Doug) of Minden and Jim Pedersen (Angelique Stryker) of Kearney; his granddaughters, Emily Larsen, Kimberly Larsen and Amelia Huerta; and his siblings, Elaine Swanson (Ron) of St. Paul and Glenn Pedersen (Patty) of St. Paul. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
