It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerald Jurgensen of Gibbon, Nebraska, born in Burwell, Nebraska, who passed away on August 6, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley A. Jurgensen and Leona Jurgensen (Gillespie); his grandson Blake Chavez; his brothers, Harold, Harley Jurgensen and Roger Gillespie; and his siblings-in-law, Vonnie Jurgensen and Richard Brockman.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Scheierman of Mt. Carmel Home, Kearney; his children, Calvin Jurgensen (Nancy) of Oswego, KS, Deeon Cederburg (Josh) of Axtell and Jennifer Smith (Leon) of Gibbon; his grandchildren, Zachary Chavez, Caleb Jurgensen (Mae), Nikota Powell (Justin), Nicole Cederburg, Stephanie Cederburg, Dalton Smith (Haleigh Westadt), Miranda Smith and Chase Smith; his great grandchildren, Kamryn Chavez and Aidon Jurgensen; his siblings, Kenneth Jurgensen of Burwell, Dorothy Brockman of Burwell, Ronald Jurgensen (Carleen) of Kearney, Roland "Doc" Jurgensen (Lois) of Omaha and Sheryl Holt (Bill) of Callaway; and his sisters-in-law, Verna Jurgensen of Girard, KS, Ina Jurgensen of Hastings and Patty Gillespie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
