He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Theis and Alice Theis (DeBaets); his daughters, Pam Kurtzhals, Ronda and Allie Theis; and his siblings, Ron Theis, Richard Theis and Louise Wetovick.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Theis of Gibbon; his children, Scott Theis (Michelle) of Kearney and Michele Buschkoetter (Gerald) of Lawrence, Nebraska; his son-in-law Stewart Kurtzhals of Kearney; his grandsons, Nick, Zack Theis and Ty Kurtzhals; and his brother Jerry Theis (Rachel) of Kearney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to St. James Catholic Church, Kearney Catholic Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
