He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gabel and Martha Gabel (Schoeneman); his parents-in-law, John and Mollie Fertig; his brothers, Larry and Jim Gabel; and his sister-in-law Alice Gabel.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Fertig; his grandchildren, John and Taylor Gabel; his great grandchildren, Lilyanna Kay and Maddison; his siblings, Frank Gabel and Ann Zitterkoph (Dennis); and his sisters-in-law, Kay Gabel and Sandy Gabel.
