He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Sterkel Jr. and Anna Sterkel (Schnell); and his siblings, LeRoy, Rodney and Marilyn.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Green; his sons, Gary (Rene) of Dayton and Bryan (Jennifer) of The Woodlands, Texas; his grandchildren, Dana Zuniga (Rolando) of Watsonville, Katey Sterkel of Santa Cruz, California, Colton Sterkel of Reno and Ethen Sterkel of Missoula Montana; his great grandchildren, Paris and Christopher Zuniga; his siblings, Bonnie Volner of Palmdale, California and James; and his sister-in-law Connie Green of Rapid City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Faith Lutheran Church.
