With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard L Sowerwine Jr. of Gering, Nebraska, born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away on December 1, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L Sowerwine, Sr. and Mary Sowerwine (Brown); and his daughters, Rhonda Stander and Robin Rutledge. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Deines; his son Scott Sowerwine (Laurel) of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Emilia O'Reilley of Boise, ID, Madison, Alyssa Sowerwine of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin Wynne of Kimball, NE, Kyle Wynne of Rapid City, SD and JolyAnn Rutledge of Sidney, NE; his sister Sharon Rusch (Stewart) of Scottsbluff; and his pet Mack. He is also survived by great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to Panhandle Humane Society.
