He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion John Blaha and Doris Mildred "Greenwood" Blaha; his brother John; and his brother-in-law Bill Cushing. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Ann Van Kirk; his children, Connie, Kim and Jeff Blaha (Janie) of Rural Mitchell, NE.; his brother Martin Blaha (Carol) of Greeley, CO; his sister-in-law Mary Cushing of Pine Bluffs, WY.; his grandchildren, Tom Blaha (Braelyn) of Scottsbluff, Jacob Blaha (Shay) of Gering, David Rupp of Gering, Alexis Ash (Sean) of Rural Mitchell, Calin Skudlarek (Ashton) of Jacksonville, FL, Isabella and Anthony Gilliam of Madison, MS.; and his great grandchildren, Freya Blaha, Traven Jackson of Scottsbluff, Jude, Luke, Violet Blaha of Gering, Hunter Ash of Mitchell, Jacob and Everett Skudlarek of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many special family friends.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Dick's honor be made in care of Panhandle Humane Society, in honor of his love for animals.
