She was predeceased by: her parents, Faye Ruppert and Ben Ruppert; her husband Jerry Schnell; her siblings-in-law, Neal, Hilda Gross and Janet Carr; and her granddaughter Katy Cullom.

She is survived by: her son-in-law Bob Cover; her children, David Schnell and Melissa Lashley (Bob Cover); her granddaughters, Addison Lashley and Cambree Cover; her sisters, Marlene Mikkelson and LaVonne Frakes; and her nieces and nephews, Barbara Kyle (Michael), Jackie Hoff (Dave), Leah Johnson (Mitch), Michael Frakes (Rhonda) and Eric Mikkelson (Dianne).
